Default Is there Free Instant Voice Recording and Transcription on Android?

what i really would like is a portable device that can both record conversations and instantly transcribe them into a format that can be quickly and easily edited (the instant transcription doesn't have to be accurate) .. if the transcription can be edited by deleting or inserting more transcribed audio and if the editor permits audio playback of the transcribed file cued from places in the transcription, that would be a plus.

i remember that there is a paid application that can do exactly this -and more- but i can't recall the name of it (if i remember correctly -and i could be wrong- that particular app puts keyboard shaped switches next to text entry boxes which activate a 'voice keyboard' feature ... enabling voice input of text) ... since there's limited availability depending on android version and a lot of untrustworthy apps, i'm here to request your help.

it would be ideal if these features can exist in a phone with a small, physical keyboard (like on the droid pro; a vertical/lengthwise slider or 'candybar' physical keyboard smartphone is preferred), gps. a camera, wifi, mass data storage capability and expandable memory. i almost purchased the droid pro sight unseen until i realized that what i really wanted was a voice recorder + transcriber (i already have other devices for gps, photos and internet so if these features come with, that's a bonus).

does anyone know of any device/app like this on the market (i'm a complete noob when it comes to smartphones)?

Did you find any app or did you manage to recall name of the paid app? I am willing to pay, so your help is appreciated.

When I had my iPhone I had an app called Dragon Dictation that worked very well. But I don't see it in the Google Play store. They have Dragon Go! which I also had for iPhone. I wonder why they didn't make an Android version of Dragon Dictation.
