I'm guess this is why 'Nokia2AndroidSMS' cannot find the sms file. So I managed to export just the messages to an .csv file but now I do not think Android reads the csv file, does it? And how do I restore all the sms onto the new SGSII phone that has been saved has a .csv file? Any free programs that does this? I have been looking like mad...Now I am getting tired.

I used nokia suite to syc all sms and then tried to use nokia2androidsms. It created an xml file of 59kb only! which of ocurse is very little, right? It does this everytime. It does not seem to work with the sms backup and restore prog of urs..! i tried converting the csv file to xml by other ways…but still same problem.

Fustrated like HELL!!!! Why does things have to be sooo complicated? I've been trying for over 3 days now....Really disappointing.
So I had that same problem you were describing and it turns out that the newer version of Nokia Suite (Blue themed and renamed from OVI suite) syncs files using different file paths/structures.

I decided to try and hunt down an old copy of OVI suite (before they rebranded/renamed it) and nokia2android works perfectly after I synced my messages. The xml restored fine in SMS Backup & Restore.

If you search google for "Ovi suite oldapps" then hit the first link that should direct you to a download of the older version (circa 2010).

I've found the developer to be very helpful in the past.

I'm thinking of using this program because my wife doesn't wasnt to lose her 8000 text messages store on her Cappy (I'm going to update her phone to GB)

Will SMS Backup and Restore backup MMS messages as well?

I was going to use that, but the wife wants all the MMS's back on the phone too, not just to gmail or the like.

So I'm trying MyBackup Pro. Hopefully this will do the trick!
