Default Help! Uastring option not existing?

Hey, I've got a Samsung Galaxy Q android phone, and I was reading on how to change the uastring by typing about:debug, selecting settings, and under the debug portion, choosing UAstring option. However, my debug menu doesn't have an option like that -- it just doesn't exist. Why is this?

What Android version are you running? I believe that option only exists in 3.x (Honeycomb) or later.

If I am correct about the 3.x or greater requirement, then no, you won't be able to update. Honeycomb is for tablets only, and the next version (ICS) requires more internal RAM than your phone contains. Maybe you can do what you want with an update to Gingerbread (I don't have a device available to me with it, so can't check). Install Samsung Kies on your pc (which will also install the needed drivers) and check for any available updates. Instructions here: update for Samsung Galaxy Q - Fido Community
