Google plus app issue

I have a VIPER 4G LTE phone. My Google plus App has a problem. When I join a hangout...everybody's sound and picture are fine, but when I try to speak, my sound is garbled (sounds like I am under water) My Skype and OOvoo apps are fine. The only one that doesn't work properly is the Google Plus app.
