Can't restart watched episodes in android phone or kindle fire

It seems lately I've been having this issue. On both my gingerbread phone and kindle fire, in the Netflix app, if I have a show that I've watched completely (e.g., 24 of 24 minutes played), I cannot restart it. When I do, it takes me back to the previous screen. I believe in the past, it would just restart the show, not end it.

Is anyone else experiencing this? This is highly annoying and hope it's a bug. Thanks.
