I love audiobooks, because it means I can knit and stimulate my brain at the same time. I borrowed an audiobook from my library, and they use Overdrive Media Console
. It is a popular app, and most libraries use it. The only problem I have is that you can't download audiobooks directly to your mobile device (you can with ebooks). You have to log in on your PC using the Overdrive desktop program.
Shouldn't be a problem, right? Wrong. I can download the book. I can listen to it on my laptop. I can NOT transfer it to either my tablet (Asus Transformer Prime) or my phone (Samsung Galaxy S2). The phone, apparently, is not compatible. With the tablet, I get an error message...
I've looked through the help section on the Overdrive website, through the help section on my library's website, and done Google searches, but haven't found anything useful. I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience with Overdrive, or any ideas at all how to get past this error.
I tried transferring the files to my tablet directly, but since they're DRM protected, I'm not able to - I get an error saying they cannot be copied to my device, so I'm stuck with Overdrive, and it won't let me transfer them either.
