ALLOW_ALL_HOSTNAME_VERIFIER for SSLSocketFactory

Hello,
I am developing SSL Based Android application and using ALLOW_ALL_HOSTNAME_VERIFIER with SSLSocketFactory and using Self signed SSL Certificates. Should I use the same verifier for the given configuration. Is it secure or there is a better alternative for this. Also want to know where is the keystore stored in the mobile device in case of Android Mobile Application.
