Permanently GPS tracking uses a lot of battery. So the tracking apps which you tried, might have some battery saving strategies ... and therefore use vague coordinates (like the phone's cam is starting GPS for a picture's coordinates but uses the coordnates before enough satellites available).
So you might let permanently run a GPS app in background, additionally with your GPS tracking app.
For such GPS background jobs I use GPSTest by Mike Lockwood
