If it puts them all in one folder where no 'normal' photos reside, you could place a .nomedia file in that folder. This should prevent Gallery from using that folder.
You can create a .nomedia file with most file explorers (I use Solid Explorer).
Make sure to include the dot and don't give it an extension.
Alternatively you could create a .nomedia file on your Windows pc:
Open a dos shell: click start, run, then CMD and press enter. Then enter the following:
echo > c:\.nomedia
Now close dos shell with Exit.
The .nomedia file is now in the root of your C: drive. Now copy the file to the folder you want Gallery to ignore.
