I was wondering if anyone knows what this app is:



It was running in the background, but is 0.0 bytes and has full access to my personal info and network. i disable it until I know what it is, but I can't seem to delete it.

It says "Google Pinyin input method". It's a Chinese language keyboard from Google.

What phone have you got, is it a Chinese one?

It's a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, bought new from Sprint. Not a Chinese knockoff as far as I can tell.

Google Pinyin is perfectly legit. Usually it's present on phones sold in Asia. Samsung have seen fit to embed it in your phone for some reason. As you've got it disabled, it's not doing anything, and it wouldn't do anything unless you select it as your keyboard.
