Default Need a Wi-Fi solution

I have an eye-fi card which is a wireless sd card for my dslr. I've noticed a difference in the way android handles it over iPhone which is giving me an issue. In the iPhone it creates an ad hoc network and transfers the photos. While this happens I can still use 3G to receive messages or send a photo If I need to. However on android when it's connected via ad hoc it won't route the internet via 4G. The problem is during a long shoot the card stays active and thephone connected to it. I don't want to simply disable it. I'd like to access both as needed as I was doing on the iPhone. Any ideas?

*bump* any thoughts at all on this?
Is this kind of management impossible on android?

Yeah, it's device dependent, but it comes down to network management and simultaneous connections.

Most Android devices allow only one network connection at a time.

I could be wrong, but you may be stuck.

Sorry.

You might try putting a wifi widget on your desktop to toggle it on and off manually. Not sure that really solves anything though.
