I'm looking for an SMS backup app that will automatically save a copy of incoming and outgoing text messages to the SD card on my phone. I would like the backup to occur each time a new message comes in or goes out rather than on a schedule.

I've tried apps that backup to email, backup to the SD card on a schedule, and backup when I initiate the backup. Those are all fine but I really want something that specifically backs up to the SD each time a text comes in or out. I should also specify that I would like this to make a copy so that if I delete a message from my message inbox, there's still a copy that I can retrieve from the backup on the SD card. TxtArchive seemed to be the closest app I could get to accomplish this but it doesn't have an automatic archive option (at least not that I could find)

Does anyone have any recommendations?

I don't know of any off hand. Just of curiosity, why not use one that backs them up to an email? If you lost your phone or its stolen, then all your text will be lost to. If you save them to email, they will always be available to you and you can print them out as well. Just something to think about.
