Default SQLite Database Exception

I was successful in transferring data (one table has about 1300 records) from a mysql database into SQLite. I then used instructions from various threads, on various sites to successfully load that database into my Android application from the assets folder in Eclipse, which is a work in progress that I run on an the Nexus 7 emulator. It runs just fine on the emulator , but when I use adb to install the app onto my Nexus 7, I get an sqlitecantopendatabaseexception when I try to run the thing .

Any words of wisdom out there? I'm a very experienced application/web/database programmer, but a newbie when it comes to Android apps, which I am coming to dread.

This will probably get moved to the developer forum.

It can be quite a few things. Can you post the code you're using to open the database? Are you sure you have the path and the name correct? Did you declare the database?

To verify the path, use adb shell to navigate to where the database should be. Then use sqlite3 to open it.
