BTW, emailed Handcent 3 times in 2 weeks. No response. sucks.
This should be easy. When my phone is off and I get a text message, the phone turns on and a Handcent popup displays over my lock screen. So far, so good. The bad news is it displays my 1st unread message. Not good. Often I get a message, glance at my phone, and put it back in my pocket. To read my most recent message, I back out of Handcent, unlock my phone, open Handcent, tap the most recent message. Is there any way to set handcent to popup and display my newest text message?
If not, is there a text message app that WILL display my most recent message?

That's how they all work. It assumes because it is unread, you want to see it. GO! SMS does that as well. For most users, this is the way they want it.
