Everytime i try to play a youtube video in firefox i have to use the youtube app. But my other browsers such chrome can play youtube videos just fine.

Is there a reason why?

I can't see a reason why, short of them coding the browser that way, that would allow you to view it in the browser. That being said, and this is to satisfy my curiosity, why do you prefer to use your browser over the app?

Download? I'm fairly sure that downloading vids from YouTube violates its terms of service. If that's what your trying to do, that would likely be the reason why you can't do it.

Edited for typos
