Default Does this sort of voice control app exist?

Hello, I've been looking around trying to find an app that can do this, but I'm honestly a Bluetooth noob and could use a hand

My mother has a Motorola Bluetooth speakerphone. When she hits a button, it automatically opens her cell's voice control center, so she does not have to touch the phone at all whatsoever, just the speakerphone. Problem is, her cell is *very* outdated and cannot read/send texts by voice etc, which she really wants. Obviously she'll be needing a new phone to be able to do this. But I wanted to make sure an Android can do what she wants it to do, before she bought anything.

So I played around with the speakerphone and my own Android, but I couldn't find any way to make it do what her phone does. I press the button, but it doesn't launch a voice control center or anything.

I know I can download voice control apps, but I need one that can do this:

- uses the Bluetooth speakerphone's speaker and mic when in range (obviously)
- responds to the buttons on the speakerphone
- is always running in background, or automatically opens when the speakerphone button is pressed
- doesn't require the phone to be touched at all, or have anything open -- only requires the phone to be turned on
- works completely offline

Please let me know if there are any apps that can do this. I know of the Motorola voice control app, but it does not work with her speakerphone model. And considering her speakerphone works hands-free with her very outdated phone, I feel like there should be some way to meet these needs without having to buy a new speakerphone

You should look at Utter:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.brandall.nutter&feature=nav_result# ?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDMsImNvbS5icmFuZGFsbC5udXR0ZXIiXQ..

and maybe in combination with Tasker:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.dinglisch.android.taskerm&feature=s earch_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsIm5ldC5kaW5nbGlzY2 guYW5kcm9pZC50YXNrZXJtIl0.

between the 2 you will probably be able to to everything you want.

working offline may be an issue, but it may come in time, Utter's developer is working on it.
lose the task killer...!

I would also make sure that the phone has Jellybean in it, as Google is adding to the voice functionality for Google Now. Using it,you can already dictate emails, texts, and initiate phone calls, but I'm not sure if it works work Bluetooth (I haven't tried).
Please hit the "like" button if I've helped.

Thank you both so much! Jellybean is a great suggestion, but unfortunately my mother's carrier doesn't have many options.. the only Jellybean device they have is way out of her price range

So, after hours of testing out different apps, I finally found a combination that works with my Galaxy Ace II x (my mother plans to get one as well). I'm not sure if it was due to my cell, the speakerphone, or both, but nothing wanted to work right!! Thanks for your suggestions Cars, they set me on the right path!

For anyone who may have issues, I'll throw the device info here so it can be found via Google, and maybe help someone.

Phone: Samsung Galaxy Ace II x
Version: ICS 4.0.4
Speakerphone: Motorola T225
Apps used: Voice Control by Luka Kama, A2DP Volume, Tasker

This setting within Voice Control was also necessary. Options > Bluetooth settings > force Bluetooth audio on.
