Go Launcher - Stopping Text Messages

I like Go Launcher and its sister applications but loathe the fact that they keep sending me unsolicited messages every time they get some stupid new theme for one of their products.

If I'm in Europe and out of the EU it costs me a lot of money to keep receiving texts. I've found an email address and asked them to stop but still they keep coming.

Replying to the texts doesn't work either as I need an account to log in with.

Has anyone else managed to find a way of stopping Go from sending these messages? No other company sends me unsolicited texts and it's becoming very annoying.

Do you mean actual messages or just notifications?

If its actual text messages, you have to disable Pro Mode on Go SMS. If its just notifications, it would cost data not text credits.

I know you're a fan of their work OP, but you always have the option of replacing their stuff with other similar apps

Thanks, it appears to come as an SMS message. In fact it's sent from the GO SMS team which reinforces this. However, I've found a tick box which appears to allow me to opt out of notifications so I'll see what happens now!

So having invested in a suite of apps, which I'm otherwise very happy with, your solution is to dump the lot and start again with something else just because I have one small problem with just one of the apps in the suite?

No, that's not exactly what I said. I said that you have alternatives. The apps are modular, and you can swap out the ones that you don't like, and keep the ones you do. The launcher works independently of their sms app. They play together nicely, but the Go Team has zero incentive to change if people continue to use their apps.
