Hope someone can help me out with this one.

I can't seem to get Handcent to display contact pictures. it did show the ones with Facebook contacts, but I rebooted my Hero, and selected 'fix uid mismatches' which I read would fix this, and now it doesn't show any pictures.

Any ideas?

Force close handcent or reboot your Hero. That does the trick on my desire

I have not found out when handcent updates profile pictures though

Do you have 'Display contact pictures' selected in Hancent settings?

I would try reinstalling handcent

Yep, tried that too. Such a shame as I liked the little contact pictures.

I had the same problem you are having. I reinstalled, reboot etc. The thing that fixed it for me was to switch from little pix to large. I hope that helps.

I have installed the handcent sms messaging app & at first no photos would show up, then when I got home & on a WIFI connection all the photos synced which was great.
I am now back with out WIFI & all the contacts phots in handcent a dissapeard again apart from a few people who still have a picture. If I press on the ones that don't have a picture showing I can see that Facebook is linked. The ones with a photo showing still don't have Facebook linked.
I can obviously work out that Facebook is to blame here somewhere but it makes no sense as at one time all contacts were showing a photo.
The the original sms app still shows photos & so does the contacts.
I would go back to the original messaging app but for some reason it wasn't giving me notifications of all texts coming through.
Does anyone have a solution for this or can suggest a sms app that I might have better luck with?

I think I have sorted this out.
I went into Account & sync and then pressed on Facebook for HTC sense, I then pressed remove account.
I then went back into Accounts & sync & choose add account, I then logged back into Facebook for HTC sense. All contact photos now seem to be present and correct.
