Default Google Calendar not showing sub calendar

Not sure if this is the right place if not please feel free to move.

I have access to my wife's google calendar on my computer, that is her events show up when I access the calendar from the computer. However, on my phone her events don't show up and her calendar is not a checkable calendar under any of the setting menus.

Anyone know how to get her calendar to show up?

I don't know which version of Android you have but within my AOSP ROM I select Menu>More>Calendars & I can select sync &/or visible for each of my calendars including my wife's which is shared in the same way.
Apple tells you what you want, Android gives you what you want
