Default SWYPE deleted my dictionary and won't let me add words

Hello all.

For starters, I'm on an AT&T Galaxy Note 2, running Jellybean 4.1.2

SWYPE had been working great for me, and I had even trained it to assume I was cursing if I said swiped anything similar to a profane word. About a week ago, out of nowhere my dictionary was deleted and I have no way to add words anymore.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

First off welcome to the forums!

I have moved this thread into the Android Applications forum since you are having issues with an application, specifically, Swype.

Hope this helps

I have used Swype for well over a year and I have never heard of it happening before. Was if after an update?

1) It's beta, so you can expect strange things (but not this strange). Have you uninstalled and reinstalled? That will wipe the dictionary you no longer have (if it is still somewhere), but you may be able to get access to a blank one with the reinstall.

2) try the swype forums. I can't say the mods are super helpful, but the users may be able to help you.

Was this an inbuilt Swype or something you installed? Some Samsung phones have Swype built in, and others have to sideload it.
