Default Pre-Alpha build of Firefox Fennec for Android available

The pre-alpha build is available. I'm running this on a Droid and it looks promising. There are still a number of issues with it, no software keyboard, very slow zooming, etc, but it is a very early build and does look promising.

Download Firefox Fennec for Android - Android - Gizmodo

It does not work on the sprint Hero with 2.1. Crashes at startup.

its cool that you can run add ons but it needs a lot of work. Very slow to start up and zoom. Needs pinch to zoom and I was really confused as to why you cant use the soft keyboard.

I agree that it definetly needs work. It is nice to see that there is at least a version out. I do like the things they are doing with it and am looking forward to alpha then beta releases. As far as the software keyboard, that is a weird one, glad I have a physical keyboard.

Heh, yeah, as a pre-alpha I don't expect this to replace the stock Android browser as my default browser. I'm definitely going to install it and try it out later today though.

Runs awfully on the Moto Droid, I saw some of it on the incredible and it runs nicely but on Droid it's terrible ( I made a little video of me using it )
