Default Google Voice Question

When someone calls me on my Google Voice number I get a prompt on my phone press "1" to answer press "2" to send to voice mail. I would prefer not to have this prompt and would like it to ring normally as if the person is calling my actual mobile number.

Is there a setting for this that I missed or is this the only way Google Voice works?

Thanks for your help.

Online, not through the phone app, go into GV settings. Click on the 'calls' tab, then select 'off' under 'call screening'. That should do it.

Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for.

While I was in the settings I saw something about recordin the call. Do you know anything about that - would that record every call to/from my Google Voice number?

I believe it's a per call thing, I've never used it though so am not at all sure.

So if you hate to hijack then why did you rather than just creating your own posting?

Again, forgive me I was under the impression this topic was related to Google Voice and not just "neils154" personal Google Voice questions.

My question was directly related to such. Also after your first question was answered and a second question was presented again with the same topic, I thought I was within reason to ask since it may just be a simple Google Voice setting that I am missing.

Anyhow disregard, I'll continue reading until I find the solution.
