Default Why doesn't the email app update when you delete emails?

I may be missing something obvious here, not sure. When I get a new email, it shows both on my phone and computer, but when I delete from my phone, it does not delete from my computer (i.e. Yahoo mail). Why is this? I know in iOS it did this pretty easily. I'm using an LG Optimus G running ICS 4.0.4.

Are you using the Yahoo! app or just the stock email app? This happens when you use pop3 settings. You need to set it up using imap type settings for it to reflect on the server.

Under account settings, there is a "delete from server" option. It can be set to "never", "when I download from server", or "when I delete from device". You probably want the last option.

I do not see this option. I am running ICS 4.0.4 on my LG Optimus G by the way. And it is the stock e-mail app since I don't want to have to use multiple e-mail apps.

The 'Delete from server' option must be there somewhere. Never seen a phone without it. Look again, maybe refer to the manual.

Try looking under "Incoming Server" settings. The account DOES NOT have to be set up as a IMAP account to do this.

I saw "accounts and sync" in the email settings, but no "delete from server" option.
