Okay, no sign of it on the market but the direct download is now live! Check it out!
EDIT: For those wondering, Hulu doesn't work with Skyfire... This article explains why.

I loved Skyfire on my old Moto Q. SO excited to see in on Android! It supports multi-touch zoom too! (A little clunky though, but it works!)

Default Official Skyfire is here~!!!@!@@@!

So it is here go get it in the market today! It is pretty slick looking but do keep in mind this is a beta so do not expect perfection. Pinch to zoom seems a little jagged and it needs work overall but it is a nice start.

Lovin this so far, huge plus that it lets you change user agent to view mobile sites like they would on the stock browser (something Opera lacked).

I like it a lot.

The cache is a killer though. One video on ESPN and the app is suddenly taking up 14 Mb. They need to incorporate a clear cache on exit option.....an exit option by itself would be nice too.

Gametrailers doesn't work. I asked me to download flash.

Some other sites seem to work.

EDIT. Gametrailers DOES work. You have to manually select video from the menu. Some pages do this automaticly.

Does not work well on the Samsung Moment. Running (leaked) 2.1 DD10 build, etc. Restarts the phone when loading a flash video to play. Slow like a MoFo too. Uninstalling, maybe others will have better luck. Also stated that it was having problems playing videos as well.

To Automatically Clear Cache on Exit:

Click on the menu button in the Skyfire (down triangle inside the circle), go to Settings, go to Privacy & Security, and check the Clear Cache on Exit box.

You can also change other privacy settings (form data, passwords, history, cookies) on this page and clear any of the above.

Just tried it and so far its pretty cool. One thing I have found annoying is that when a page loads it is slightly zoomed in forcing you to pan left and right to see the whole page its only off by a little bit. You have to double tap and it will auto zoom out to the whole page. And it does this on every page. The stock browser seems to auto fit the page correctly.

I was able to get a video from ESPN.com to play. Unfortunately I'm not on wifi at work so it did have to buffer itself frequently (for a <3 minute video) but it's a start. I'll have to wait till I get home to try out the flash video sites I'm really interested in

There is an option in the settings menu (the one reached by clicking on the little arrow-in-a-circle under the address bar) to change the starting level of zoom for the browser, and it is set to medium by default.

Doesn't it ask whenever you click a link that will take you from one page to another? I think it kept doing that for me. Then just check the box that says always use this option, or something like that. I may be way off though...

I loved this browser, I used to have it on my Samsung Omnia I used awhile back, this was my key point to make those iphone lovers feel like they wanted my omnia when I showed them shows from hulu on my omnia, I was like take that iphone, But unfortunately hulu has stopped, apparently it doesn't want to take up the mobile market and thats a dumb move, because the future is mobile. It got into it with skyfire last year.

Does it still suffer from privacy concerns? That's the main reason I didn't use it when I was on WinMo.

Pinch to zoom is a bit messed up but it will get better with time. Once this feature is fixed, this will be my official browser.

Also note it wont play netflix instant movies, apparently it requires a microsoft silverlight plug-in and not much an issue of skyfire, lets hope the next barrier to playing video off the internet isn't because of flash, but because you require all these plug-in requirements.

Anyone know how to change the HOME page tiles? I've tried everything I can think of, but don't see an option to delete the pre-loaded tiles and add my own on the home screen. Thanks.

so are people digging it mostly because of the video benefits?

or is it worth looking into a your actual daily browser?

flash, video, game sites, ESPN, no real interest for me.. so is it still worth checking out as a good nice better than stock browser?

The pinch zoom works like the original dolphin zoom. It only zooms in the same increments as the + - buttons. So it is not real pinch zoom. I will use it to play flash videos (if availabale on the skufire server) if I need to, but nothing else.

It's quicker than the stock browser so I'm considering making it my daily browser. The video benefits are just a plus.

Back to back at least 3 times slower loading the same page as XScope with full bars and 3G.
Then it wouldn't let me exit out and started opening a web page.
IDK
I will wait

Downloaded SkyFire about an hour ago. Looks pretty nice for a start. A good solid begining. Haven't had much of a chance to play with it (being at work and all). I'll check it out more in-depth this evening.

I was able to get video from nbc.com to come up...eventually. It locked up a few times, but I am currently watching a full episode of Chuck right now.

Did it pop up in the video menu? I tried it on abc.com but it never came up with the video because there were so many others on the page so I guess it was confused.

If there are a lot of videos on one page, tap on the thumbnail of the one you want to watch. The menu should then pop up. Testing ABC as we speak..
EDIT: Error with LOST first go around.. I'll try again and then switch over to NBC to see if I can get SNL to play.

I had to click on the specific video, and let that page load. After, the pop up came for the video menu.

I tried CBS.com, and that did not appear to work on the first try.

Thank you for explaining. I got nbc to work but abc opens it and says video load error . I will say though the nbc video was really choppy with video way behind the sound. Perhaps wi-fi will fix that up.

I can't seem to trick NBC into thinking that I'm on a desktop web browser, it's constantly redirecting me to their mobile site.

Played with it for a while - couldn't get it to work plus not sure of the privacy model. I believe the video is somehow rendered in their environment, not local to the handset.

I'll wait for flash to become available natively.
