Im running firefox and iCal on my iMac (10.6). Im really trying to figure out how to sync my bookmarks and calender events to my HTC Incredible but Iv had no luck. Im using Xmarks to sync my bookmarks between computers because its seemless and automatic and supports sub directories.
Spanning Sync has, so far, been the best for me. It takes your Address Book and iCal info and syncs (both directions) with google. Then just set that google account to sync on the phone.
You can set it to poll automatically - I have SS set for every 10 minutes. So, if I add a contact/calendar event on my Incredible, 10 minutes later it is on my Macs, my ipad, and my iphone (or the other way around, of course).
Bookmarks I haven't gotten to yet.
Been using Missing Sync for itunes playlists, photos, and assorted backups.

I use my Eris with my mac, and I have found a relatively simple solution.
I use a program called Calgoo Connect to sync my iCal to my Google Calendar. It's free (though it does require you to sign-up to download) and it allows for two-way syncing.
It's a bit of a hassle to set up, but I've been using it practically ever since I got my Eris and it's worked great!
unsure about bookmarks, but my ical is synced with google calendar, which is on both mine and wifes phones, so they all update at same time - I think its some sort of magic at work.
i'm running snow leopard on latest mbp.
open ical, under ical menu goto preferences, goto accounts and set up your google account details.
then when set up, goto file and export. export the file, save somewhere- open google calendar, goto settings - then calendar - now import calendar - use the one you just exported and save. you can now delete the exported calendar from your mac.
voila - done, when you add events in ical, they'll be synced to g calendar on handsets.

You can also sync your OSX Address Book with GMail Contacts via Preferences just like you can with iCal.
One thing about syncing Snow Leopard's iCal and Address Book is that syncing happens only once an hour... but a simple .plist edit remedies this.
Open this file (TextEdit works): ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.google.GoogleContactSyncAgent.plist
The last entry in the file is:
<key>StartInterval</key>
<integer>3600</integer>
3600 seconds = 1 hour. Change the integer value to 300. Now Snow Leopard will sync every 5 min. Or use a value you want.
Validate with Console App. Files->Sync->syncservices.log
Do I need to be signed up for Mobile me to be able to sync to gmail?
It wouldn't let me add it by just putting in the gmail addy and password.
