The black bar at the bottom of stock jellybean tablets contains the home/apps/back button on the left side, then the clickable status bar on the right side.

I'm not sure what to call that entire bar, but how do I add volume buttons (and maybe brightness control) to that bar without replacing my launcher (I'm using stock right now).

EDIT: After more googling, I've refined the question a bit, how do I add additional soft keys to sit beside the home/recent/back soft keys??

Thanks, it puts the volume control inside the status bar, while I would like it on the navigation bar beside home/back/apps.
