Default Calendar app that can use external alarm app

hi guys,

One of the issues i have found is that there are many great calendar apps, but their notification/alarm options are rubbish. Lets say i use a calendar app such as Business Calendar and i set it to notify me at a certain time for an alarm to go off, but when the alarm does set off, i accidently touch the screen and the alarm gets cancelled. Is there a calendar app which can stop me from doing that by either giving me a number to enter or maths problem to solve or a pattern to follow?

I want a calendar app that:-

1. Can set off an alarm, but the user should NOT be able to turn off the alarm without entering a number or solve a maths problem...at the moment these type of apps are totally separate from a calendar app.

2. Can choose a seperate alarm app as it's notification.

Can you guys please recommend any such app?

Thanks very much!

LOL wow no none that I know of and I have used a lot of them due to my job. Other than using an actual alarm clock with that feature, why not just pay attention to your phone and your schedule. I dont really get how you touch the screen "accidentally" and not know it was your calendar event going off.

Start by looking at Calendar Snooze in Google Play. You are correct that alarm management is separate from the calendar.

@ stu675 - sorry, but thats just plain silly. It's a touch-screen phone, so i'm sure as many will agree, many times you can accidently touch the screen and end up cancelling an alarm.

That is why many of the dedicated alarm apps give you options such as maths, pattern, sequence of numbers problems to solve, so that you don't mistakenly cancel the event.

@ jae_63 - Thank you very much for the recommendatiom jae. I tried the Calendar Snooze app, but unfortunately it doesn't have any options that can stop me from cancelling a reminder.

In short, I'm looking for a Calendar App which has an alarm/notification option which cannot be cancelled without some sort of user intervention - Maths solution, Pattern, Sequence of buttons or numbers have to entered.

I understand that it is not what you want, but it illustrates that your goal can be achieved by a developer who handles the AlertActivity intent. So now you just need to hire a developer, or convince the author of Calendar Snooze to make the desired changes.

What about Smart Alarm? It makes you solve a math problem, but I am not certain that it is a generic notification handler.

Ahh Yes, Smart Alarm - Thats the app i have mate and it's great. Unfortunately though, I don't think you can somehow view/edit all the tasks in a calendar format.
