Default Bluetooth in Jelly Bean

I have Bluetooth turned on on both my Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Tab 2 running Jelly Bean.

The Bluetooth icon shows in the notification bar a shown and both are shown as paired in Bluetooth settings; note the icon on the Tab 2 seems to be "illuminated" whereas the icon on the S2 seems to be visible "greyed out"?

I open ES File Explorer and select a file to transfer from Tab 2 to S2. The using More > Send try to forward this jpg file. Scanning occurs but no option to use Bluetooth appears. A message saying please check wireless settings etc ends process.

Does not having paired devices with Bluetooth turned on mean that file transfer should be automatic?

Any advice please?

I only use Bluetooth between my Galaxy Ace and my windows laptop but I have to switch on the bluetooth on both devices and also make the Ace,"Discoverable" in it's Bluetooth options. Then when I transfer from the latop to the phone a popup comes asking me if i want to accept on the phone.
I do the same the other way but use Esfile explorer and click on the Bluetooth icon and then long press on the file and choose,"Share" and then Bluetooth and my Winxp connection.

There are also Bluetooth apps on Play store that should make it easier if you are still having problems.

Thank you.

You tip of "Share" solved the problem. I was trying to "send" from tablet.
