Default App for cell phone service?

i have a problem i live on top of a hill and its unfortunately one of the few places i have ever been that i dont get good cell phone service... i was wondering it there is an app that uses your wifi for you cell phone service or to use wifi to increase my cell phone service

No way to do it unless you get something like a device sold by Vodafone called Sure signal. It will still only work for Vodafone in the UK I believe.

dang well i think they should try and make an app that will do that for situations where you have wifi but no cell service so you can still use your phone for calls and all that

It is not that simple. Maybe something like Google Voice or a SIP client?

If you have a Vonage account you could use that. I believe that Vonage app allows you to make calls over wifi. I'm not 100% sure, but it is worth a look into.

Depending on your service provider, they may have something called a femtocell. Sprints version is called the airrave. What it is, is a personal cell phone tower! Yup it runs off your broadband connection, and it provides signal for up to 3 simulanious devices!
