Surprised Is there an app for tracking data use?

Hi! I have a 500mb useage max, and apparently I have gone over it already?! Help!!!

Is there an app that will track the data use / data transfer so that I can keep an eye on it and ensure that this does not happen again?

Thanks!

Net Counter and a whole pile lot of other apps. Search the Market.

Net counter didn't work for me. Said I had 0.0mb downloaded, while I was using 3G. If you have time, download another app from the market that counts data usage, and call up your service provider before and after to see how much you actually used, and then compare that to what the app says you used.

3G watchdog works very well for me.

You can set monthly limits and stuff so you shouldn't go over the limit!

I'm on a time-based data scheme with Globe. Is there an app that tracks based on time not on B/KB/MB/GB?

My data manager Free is the best one. Watchdog often freezes and forgets to count data.

This must be a stupid question, but are you sure your provider didn't install an app for this on your phone? I have a Verizon phone with a bill-pay and usage tracker app, and you would think that all carriers are interested in distributing phones with such apps - they save the company a lot of the money which they take from you when you pay online!

I switched from "Data Counter Widget" to "My Data Manager Free". Both apps work well. (Just make sure it stays running in the background.) I like My Data manager Free much better. It has notifications to set for whatever your data plan is. It looks cleaner and has a list of all the apps and how much data they have used for the whole month. You can set it to start counting when your plan starts. Both are pretty accurate too.

Most phones have a MY ACCOUNT app where you can view your info, but that app itself requires data usage, so it kinda defeats the purpose.
