Android ApplicationsAll the information you could ever want about Android Applications. Learn about apps and get help with them... all here! New apps can be found and announced in the Applications Announcements forum linked below.
It seems as though the Android Market is not showing some apps. These apps are visible through 3rd party sites like AppBrain and Cyrket, but when you navigate to the Market on your phone, they are unable to be found. I've compiled a list of apps and devices that people across various support forums have posted that they've had issues with. I have a feeling this is a pretty major issue and Google doesn't seem to know about it yet. I'm advocating that everyone that has an Android device, to check the list of apps below. If you've discovered a missing app not listed, please post below.
Post here if you find an app through AppBrain, but cannot access it in the Market on your phone.
Let Google know about this! If you are having these issues please post in the following threads. The more people we can get to speak up the sooner we can get Googles attention.
y not save on appbrain ... download appbrain market sync... get that way?
All AppBrain does is list the apps. It still relies on the Market to download and install the apps. If I click on SlideScreen in AppBrain on my phone, it just pulls up the Market and shows:
Quote:
There are no matches in Android Market for the search: pname:com.larvalabs.slidescreen
I am not able to find the above mentioned apps either. From France, tested on a Motorola Milestone 2.1-update1 and an HTC Desire 2.1-update1.
My application is no longer visible either.
I hope Google gets this sorted out quickly.
The problem is still ongoing. I've been cross-posting in as many forums as I can, and contacting as many Developers to help this gain traction. I've updated the main post to reflect more apps and devices that seem to be having this issue.
Seeing as this is affecting more than just the Evo, could a Mod please move this to the apps forum, and possibly a sticky pretty please?
Same problems for me with a Nexus One (Android 2.1) in the UK. Missing apps previously downloaded are Pure calendar agenda widget (koxx) and Digital clock (maize)
I'm on GSM HTC Hero official 2.1 and I've searched for 5 random apps from that list and all of them show (in free and paid variants), so no problems over here.

Another issue I've encountered is that the application shows up in AppBrain, it shows up on my phones market, I paid for the app, but its still trying to authorize purchase for the last 45 minutes. Program is SystemPanel App
A few days ago, I had the same issue you guys are referring to with handcent sms. had to go to their website forum and find the link by the developer to download it and install on the EVO.

This is one headline Google doesn't want to see this morning. Less than 24 hours after Apple introduced its latest and greatest creation, the iPhone 4, at its conference for Apple developers, a small, but growing group of Android developers are reporting issues with their updated applications disappearing from the Android Market.
[...]
According to the developers, the Android Market has stopped showing some applications. The apps are still visible through third-party sites like AppBrain and Cyrket, which serve as searchable repositories of current Android Market apps. However, when a user navigates to the Android Market on their mobile phone, the apps are nowhere to be found.
The issue seems to only be affecting applications that have been recently updated with bug fixes or new features. After the updated application is submitted, it disappears. Some older versions of the Android operating system can still see the apps in some cases, but the most recent versions of the OS (Android 2.0 and 2.1) cannot.
That means users with an HTC Evo, Desire, Hero, Droid, Incredible, Droid Eris or Moto Milestone are currently affected.

I still had a few small issues last night, but this morning everything seems to be ok.
From France, tested on Milestone and Desire, both running 2.1-update1, on Orange and SFR networks.
Hope everyone else is ok ?

Did SystemPanel ever download for you? As far as I can tell all the orders from the afternoon did finally authorize. Some took up to four hours to authorize. Very sorry for the trouble, many other developers experienced the same problem (possibly the entire market).

I can't seem to find Ringtones, developed by Mabilo Android Team, in the market. It shows up in some of the search engines though. So I don't know if it is related to this or if the developer pulled the app. I have an EVO 4G. Anybody else have this problem or know why it isn't showing up?
I just downloaded tank recon about an hour ago, and it no longer shows up in a search. Also, Garden of Weeden is missing, all but one of its developers apps are now gone. Whatever is going on, it seems to be getting worse.
EDIT: Almost every app under my downloads seems to be missing when I search for it. If this issue is anything more than (very) temporary it's gonna be a big problem.

After a clean install today, I was unable to find appbrain, so I thought I'd just download MyBackup and reload my last backup. I was unable to find MyBackup, so I started crying.

Good to hear it, and sorry again for the nonsense.
In other news, I've now been struck by the original problem: WebSharing and WebSharing Lite have disappeared. SystemPanel and SystemPanel Lite are still present.
