Hi there,
not sure if it is appropriate, but I thought I'd try a little shameless self promotion since we just released our first Android game. It is a port from the iPhone and there might be more coming soon
CASTLE WARRIORS
FEATURES
Simple touch controls
12 battlefields linked in a campaign
Castles that upgrade during the battle, with new capabilities and defenses
Hi guys,
thanks for the feedback! This is our first foray into Android territory, so we are not terribly familiar with the marketplace dynamics. Is there anything we can/should do to check availability in different countries/devices?
thanks for the reply Marc, but I'm not overly sure whether the Galaxy S is something you guys can sort, or if you'll have to pester Google to get the Galaxy S accredited properly so all the apps are viewable.

I wont pretend to be all knowing, but I don't think something released on the US Marketplace can be obtained in some other countries marketplace. I know some devs will set up a paypal method of buying the game and manually sending it to a person. Kind of dumb but it is what it is for now.
Is there anymore game left after the campaing mode? Like a random map skirmish mode perhaps? Would love to try it out but afraid I would kill it in 12 hours lol.
I don't know how well it would run on my moment but I don't see it on the market either. I was going to give it a shot. I do have android 2.1 on the phone also.
@shocky doh, sorry to hear that! We don't have that device to test yet, glad you got your money back.
@KAuss yes, you can replay replay levels in skirmish mode after unlocking them in campaign.
@flukeSG2 please let us know if it ever shows up in the marketplace on EVO, we are kind of puzzled by this, too...
Thanks everybody for your support, some teething problems here, but hopefully we'll manage to sort things out, soon. Appreciate all reports on game availabilities and working handsets.
cheers,
-marc

Looks great! It reminds me a bit of Populous. Storage is an issue and will hold me back for now. If a future version has an option to install to sd card (and my provider has an update for Android 2.2), I'll definitely be having a look at this again.
@NZtechfreak thanks for the Slideme link, looks very interesting. We will look into it.
@ Shocky The galaxy should be supported, but we might run out of memory on the device. We'll need to find a device to test.
Installing to the SD card is a simple addition to the androidmanifest file. see here: App Install Location | Android Developers. I hope you include it, this would be a fantastic game once you implement that.
Hi there, just want to say that the game looks great. However, does not seem to run on my galaxy spica i5700 running android 2.1... any ideas. The game starts, but seems to run very slow (800 Mhz processor) and all the images show up as white silhouettes, please advise, looking forward to playing.
@Sckraps we haven't been able to test on any Galaxy devices, you should return the game and wait until we can confirm the device (we'll probably need to setup a list of confirmed devices somewhere...). Sorry for the inconvenience.
@ Gareee we did the special for the launch of the iPhone version last year, still trying to get a better understanding of the Android market to see what makes sense here.

Awesome job porting the game over from iPhone GameResort. I pick up the game last year on iPhone while i was still rocking my iPhone 3GS, and it was fun. As for the price issue, I don't think $3 is too much to ask for the game, in my opinion it is worth the price. But I would say that the fact the game is cheaper on iPhone/iPad might raise a little a question for some people, or at least for me, why is there a price difference between the platforms? Is there something extra on the Andriod version? Is android platform harder to program for?
Good luck on the game, I might pick the game up again soon, but since I own an iPad now, I am thinking picking up the iPad version instead of the android version, since it is cheaper. Although if they are the same price, I would probally buy the android version for my Htc Evo instead.
One more thing, it is unfortunately there is not a good game promotion site like toucharcade for android games, I think it would help promote good games, incease game sales, as well as attract more developer to the platform.
urgh , now I want to play this game >.<
can't find it on the market , on androidzoom.com, nor androidapplication.com
using Galaxy S , I tried to emulate a US carrier (T-mobile) still no good ...
I am willing to pay more for games on android (even though i can understand why we have too since i thought apple kept like 30% of the money, didnt think google did).
But with so few quality games i am willing to pay as much as a cup of coffee.
HOWEVER, we need more games than can be partially stored on SD card. I would buy this game but i am almost out of internal memory and installing this would mean i have to uninstall many other programs. BTW.. i am using the EVO.
Make the game able to be stored on SD and you will open up for more sales.
But thanks for trying out the android market. We all hope you stay awhile.
I've got the game installed on my desire, and it installed itself to SD card with out me having to move it. Also the application is only 9.29mb total. I got the info from the manage applications menu.
Running 2.2
