Im also looking for a place other than the market. I would still be happy to pay for it. In the USA, this app doesn't even show up in the market due to Robot Comics not being responsible for distribution in the US. Anyone please know of another place to find it?

You can always use market enabler so you can simulate another region, then you will be able to buy it from the market, even if its not available for your region.

Dang looks like its finally time to root it. I was waiting for a reason...

What is your phone? Maybe you can root your phone in five seconds using universal root, buy the comic and then unroot it using the same app.

So it worked! I installed universal root, then used market enabler and it still wasnt showing up. Then i realized I was still going through Tmobile's edge/3g, network, so i switched the WI FI on and it finally came up! Thanks so much
