Definately awesome to see! Has anyone purchased it yet and given it a spin? From the Market comments it looks like it's pretty solid.
*edit* So I couldn't resist. I went ahead and got it. I tried Star Fox 64 and it runs a tad fast but it's definately playable. On first launch it froze up, but I tried it a couple more times and worked just fine. It will lag at certain cut scenes or the planet map on Star Fox, but not bad at all for the first build.

You can change to the d-pad in the virtual keypad settings and keypad scheme. However it doesn't seem like you can have both the d-pad and joystick at this point in time so you still wouldn't be able to do finishers in the WWF games.
Tried a couple more games. Golden Eye is a little sluggish, it's also awkward to play since the control layouts have the Z button in the top left and its weird to shoot. Mario Party is laggy, IMO not playable. Mario Tennis has some graphics issues with the screen getting messed up from the special effects and also a little laggy. The Rush racing games work, 2049 doesn't seem to have sound, but 2 is playable. Mario 64 is a bit fast but it is playable. Tony Hawk is playable, even with the awesome soundtrack and all. Super Smash is playable, though the controls will take a while to get used to. Wave Race is playable but again fast. Battle Tanx won't load. Cruisin USA has some graphics error and doesn't display properly. Rampage 2 is a little too laggy for me to consider playable.
Overall, it seems the biggest problem are some games play too fast, kind of like a turbo mode. However, the thing is still in it's very first build so Yongzh has already mentioned in the description it has a long way to go, but it still plays many games in it's current state. Definately going to be awesome when it's tuned and running perfectly.
Wow, this is really neat! I wasn't expecting it to play games so well, but it does. Playing on Samsung Fascinate. For a 1.0 release, it's really great!
Super Mario 64 runs twice as fast as it should (along with the music). I'd say this was an issue, but the fact that the emulator is TOO fast should be a testament to how well optimized it is. Already fixed in 1.1 apparently (no time to try it out right now).
Banjo Kazooie was a little slow, but setting it to frameskip 1 makes the music and game run at fullspeed, it just goes a little bit choppier than usual (which is fine, the game runs flawlessly). Only glitches i've seen so far are the start menu showing some garbage and the jigsaw level transitions not working correctly (both glitches are present in some N64 emulators for PC, something to do with framebuffer or something).
As i said, there's a 1.1 version which apparently fixed the sound pitch and implemented a frame limiter according to the changelog. Can't test it out now as i'm under time constraints, but will try later. This emulator is looking amazing!
Just re-tested Mario Kart and Star Fox with the updated version. They run at proper speeds now. There will still be the occasional lag in cut scenes but the gameplay is fine. I'm assuming the same for Mario 64.
*edit* Right after I typed that my sound dropped out from Star Fox. Don't know if it was a one time deal and will work again if I restart or what. But the app is clearly getting support early on and pretty quick so I'm sure most games will be very much playable in the near future.

Super Mario 64 ,Mario mart, and pokemon stadium 2 no issues.
Starfox sound goes away during gameplay but the game plays great besides that.
Pokemon stadium intro plays but that's it. Excite bike 64 is a no go. That's all I tested.

Guys, remember that this is new. We need to wait for it to get optimized further which will probably take a long time. At least we have a fully functioning PS1 emulator now (FPse), which proves we are capable

Did someone help you out? Don't forget to thank them!
Yongzh is updating like a maniac and fixing issues left and right. Totally awesome support. Mario 64 runs near perfect now. I think he either checks forums for these types of threads or just responds to e-mails, because a lot of his patch notes are game specific.
Does it say anything about the quality of games available if everyone is this excited about a N64 emulator on Android? Don't get me wrong I'm super excited about this too, especially being able to play Ocarina of Time once again. Just saying.. Angry Birds is no Ocarina of Time...

While I do agree everyone is excited and if a quality N64 emu was brought to Android, then many more quality games are sure to come. However, Angry Birds is a cell phone game, Zelda is considered one of the best N64 games of all time, apples and oranges.
The new version seems to have made a change where Mario Kart runs poorly. I played it on one of the previous ones and had no problems at all, but now I get what you guys are describing as well on a Vibrant.
I'm admittedly stumped guys. Do I need a special BIOS or something to run Roms on this? I have been attempting to run .z64 file extensions on my Roms, but no luck. Some will load (Zelda 64, Mario 64) but once the virtual keypad appears, all I get is a black screen. Am I missing something?

All my files are zip files, no special bios needed. Check out the market for roms.
Can confirm that Castlevania Legacy of Darkness works very smoothly, even when choosing the higher res 'expansion pack detected' version.
Mario Golf crashes when you get into gameplay, so bad I had to pull battery.
Extreme G crashes a little way through navigating the menus.
Rayman 2 and Star Wars: Rogue Squadron don't load at all, just go to black screen.
Legacy of Darkness works for me to but at the character select screen I can't move off of the character in the far left. Were you able to change characters? Thanks.
Has anyone been using this with Wiimote IME and a Classic Controller Pro? I am having great luck with every rom in conjuction with the controller (very much more fun than virtual keyboard) but I cannot get the analog sticks to be recognized by Wiimote IME. I will start another thread but just thought I would mention this as I know some dont know about the controller options.

I use Wiimote with the nunchucks and all the controls work fine.
Mario 64 runs well, some slight slowdowns at times but not alot of them
zelda ocarina of time lags when out in an open area, and the music along with it
star wars rogue squadron doesnt load up at all
goldeneye loads up fine, but freezes on the first level
The world is not enough works ok, but has no sound
star fox lags untill you get into the actual gameplay
all the mario party games have the same issue, whereas the screen randomly blinks on and off, and sometimes the characters dissapear
super smash brothers has some sound issues, but otherwise its playable.
really happy we finally have a N64 emulator, and it works alot better than i thought it would even for an early version. cant wait for more of those updates =D

Nope, I couldn't, but I thought that was because the other ones need unlocking?

Are you using the analog stick portion of the nunchuck? and you use nunchuck"s" plurar, how are you using more than one nunchuck? Also, have you tried it with the classic controller?
Saw this on a gadget blog, how are the controls for Mario games?
I play on the touch screen virtual controller. Works just fine. It does take a little to get used to it, but hell it's defiantely more than playable and good enough to not carry around a controller on you. Just gets a little tricky when you need to use Z to butt stomp or a variable jump.
Hate to burst everybody's bubble, but this app is crap so far and plays only a few roms...if this app is a work in progress at this point and only works for a few roms then this dev is being a complete d-bag by charging everybody $6, especially if we're all expected to do his job for him by giving feedback. He should have spent a few more weeks in development, but he got greedy knowing that other devs are possibly about to release a better version. HOWEVER, if yongzh gets his stuff together and gets most of the roms working WELL and in a TIMELY manner, then I will most likely support his further work. Yet if he lets this thing drag on and someone else releases a much better emulator (ex. FPse), then I will add him to the same list as that other dev...cough cough...

From my point of view its fine. Mario64 is worth the price of admission alone. Knowing YongZH's level of developer support I am comfortable with the purchase. Each to their own...
I definitely see your point...Mario64 is the only game that runs well on this emulator and is the main reason why I bought it. However, if this remains to be the ONLY rom that runs well for an extended period of time, then why not just release a Mario64 emulator...of course he can't do that due to the legality, but you see my point perhaps. Also, maybe I am a bit disgruntled due to the whole psx4droid fiasco and how the fpse came out and destroyed it from the very first version. Different coding, blah blah blah, I know...that's why I'll give him a chance to fix this thing he calls a N64 emulator...

No worries, you're not bursting anyone's bubble. My device (gtablet, not my droid) runs all of the ROMS I've tried just fine. Can you let everyone know your device so they can be warned that it might not be a good buy for them right now?
So this was released as the G-tablet N64 emulator... ohhh...that's where I misunderstood (slaps forehead). My device is the epic 4g personally and it has the best performance of all of the people that I know that were excited about this (maybe 5 or 6) all with different android phones which are all pretty high end. I understand that we should support hard working devs, but we should also keep them in check so future mistakes don't happen again...but perhaps you're just a better person than me...Also, I have a weird feeling that it doesn't work too well on your actual phone...

All of Yongzh's other emulators have evolved over time. Yongzh is beyond reproach in my book. That said, you are correct in that many ROMS don't work very well (if at all) at the moment. I think folks are more excited about the potential of N64oid rather than the reality. N64oid is definitely a work in progress.
Personally, I was hoping that Excitebike 64 would work, but it doesn't get beyond the Left Field Productions screen before the screen goes black. Disappointing? Sure. But I know Yongzh will work it out.
I think that if you feel like Yongzh is ripping you off by charging for his app, I think you should request a refund via email. Or if you have constructive criticism, then you can share it here or email Yongzh directly. Otherwise, you just come off like an ungrateful person (which I don't think is your intent).
You make very good points, and of course I do not intend to come off as ungrateful to hard working devs. That's why I put my "however" in my original statement. Time will tell on this one...and I hope I am proven wrong in my initial reaction. Yongzh has a lot of eyes on this one...

Apparently you read my post as a sign of aggression, either towards ur choice of devs or ur phone. But that's not the case, I'm merely saying it would be helpful to all of the forum members to know each persons experience for the devices that they are using. This emulator is available to everyone so it would be good to know which devices encounter issues. I stated my devices because I failed to do that in my previous posts. It would have been hypocritical of me to ask that you let us know your device without me stating mine.
So don't be to quick to add a sarcastic douchy post. Its all love here haha.

I'm ignoring the troll thread (n64oid=junk) and posting here.
I tried Extreme-G 2, one of my favorite N64 games... and it's unplayable on a Samsung Epic. That's pretty sad... but it's also a pretty intense game. I would have been shocked it it ran well.
