Is there still a possibility to do a beta run? I have a HTC Desire HD. It could be usefull to test the game on a big screen device (4.3 inch).

Fex, if you're looking for someone to test the game on the Atrix, you can add me to your next beta testing

All I can really say is that the game will be released as soon as we feel that it is polished and ready to share with the world.

Based on playtesting feedback, we're getting really, really close, and I know that there are a bunch of people who are all very eager to play, but we've gathered a lot more attention than we were honestly expecting, and we really want to make sure we live up to those expectations!

Hahah, yeah, this whole thing has really just blown up, which is awesome, and I owe it in part to bloggers like you! Getting all of this attention definitely raises the bar for us, but that just means we're rising to meet it!

Can't wait to playyyyy!!!! lol I've been playing Tiny Wings on my Itouch and want this game on my Phone. As I play a game like Tiny Wings more and more today I'm hoping there are actually objectives and achievements. I know that should be the last thing but Was just playing TW and realized the game wouldnt be half as fun w/ that stuff not in it. Also still standing by the items sounds...shouldnt be making you cringe and shouldnt be louder than the music and other sounds in game. can't wait to try the gliding though.

I've been really excited about this game but just realized...

Access to one or more AIR-capable Android devices

I guess that means it's another great android game my HTC aria can't handle serves me right for buying less powerful technology...

We are keeping a list from our testers of which phones are handling the game well and which ones are not. Based on our testing, the Galaxy should handle the game just fine.

There are some technical differences, but that's pretty much the basic idea.

unfortunately, I believe AIR requires an ARMv7 processor, which my phone does not have. so, sadly, it isn't as easy as downloading an app from the marketplace.

Can you post a small list of devices that are running the beta? Is the game going to require flash player?

The game will not require Flash Player, but it will require AIR. They are similar, but they are not the same thing, and a lot of phones that cannot run Flash Player can still run AIR. Check out the marketplace: if you can download and install Adobe AIR, you will be able to open the game (however, older phones may still not be able to run the game well even if they support AIR).

I am keeping a spreadsheet of each testing device and the test results, and will share this data once we're a little closer to release (we're still doing a lot of optimizations). We're aiming to make this game playable on as many devices as we can without sacrificing too much quality, and we will be as honest as we can about which devices can expect top performance (and which ones should start looking for an upgrade!) ;D

If you want to know if your device has adobe air, just download it from the market and look in the download description. Keep up the good work fex, if you need an HTC desire hd tester, just add me.

Search Adobe Air in the android market. When you find it then you can play dillo hills.

But i think air requires 2.2

Another night of testing, and another huge wave of thanks to all of my testers!

We are continuing to optimize the game's rendering code as much as we possibly can, in order to get the game running as smoothly as possible on as many devices as we can.

We are also starting to move on to gameplay testing, and our testers are doing a fantastic job of helping me refine the game's physics and energy systems to provide a meaningful challenge without becoming too harsh.

I will continue to keep everyone up to date as we move forward with testing. Still no release date promises, but we're making good progress.

Btw Fex, was thinking a cool feature would be daily challenges if thats possible. Tiny Wings was kinda easy to pass, and once you've done all of the challenges it gets kind of boring. With rotating daily challenges it would keep the game "alive".

Looking forward to the release!

Lag was definitely on my camera if you saw any!
Thats my video, and while actually playing it on the tablet, its faster and smoother than on my Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate...

And the sound, if anyone had their volume up, was from the tablet itself, not the game. For some reason my G Tablet speakers only play static from apps I sideload onto it.

Galaxy S' definitely work. I have tested it on the Fascinate and Vibrant...

Just search the market for AIR and download the one made by Adobe.

This thread feels a bit like watching a soap opera on tv. Every day i come back to check the latest things happening and at the end it's all waiting for the next day to know more...

Will Fex be able to have the game completed in-time?
Does rawly9 have to worry the game won't run on his droid?
Is DjOffline indeed going crazy?
Will i give birth to the lovechild of myself and bill gates?

Stay tuned @ AndroidForums.com!

Haha, awesome.

I really wasn't hoping to drag this out so long, but it's nice to see that we're keeping people tantalized!

Default Newer Tablet video!

I uploaded a newer tablet video. I changed the setting on my Fascinate (What I used to take the video) because for some reason it wasn't at the highest quality.

This video looks way less choppy, and it runs so smooth when actually playing.
