If you root your android phone, it is pretty easy to get all the fishbucks, coins and ex points you want. (I take no credit for this. It was found at xda and it works as I have tried it) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1053590

I tested the sqlite 1.33 version from 4shared and it didnt work for me
Make sure the phone is rooted and install root explorer first. Then install sqlite.
Yeah you won't be able to buy the father/son or tie fish from me. I wasn't able to buy one either. I just changed a few database fields for a couple of green snappers and turned them into the father/son and tie fish. Lots of databases to be explored!
I actually have lots of tie fish....and I wouldn't want to spend bucks on the father-son fish. I found the only things you can get which arent in the store (in the iOS version) are the gift items and some event items.
How about introducing yourself in the Tapfisher forum?

I just found this forum looking for information about the new feature of buying items and fishes from neighbor's tank. [The forum is great!]
About the new feature I have two questions:
1. Does it mean that I deprive the neighbor from his/her fish/item?
e.g. For some crazy reason I want the seahorse of the past event and get one from the neighbor, does he/she loose the fish?!?!
If it's so, isn't it a little mean?!
2. I buy at the buying price (so the neighbor loose the time he/she took to grow that fish)? Or I buy at the selling price?

Your neighbor doesn't lose the fish you buy. You are buying at the Store price and the proceeds don't go to the neighbor, but back to Gameview.
To join Tapfishers forum, go to Social Groups, and find Tapfishers. There aren't many threads there yet because we lost the original ones when it was converted to a social group to a forum. There's a thread called Please Introduce Yourself.

The fish you can buy from the shop have the same price from a neighbor, and as you said makes no sense to buy from the neighbor. Solved.
New problem: except for past event fishes (but looks like they cost fish bucks) and for the chance to understand which is the combination of a specific bred-fish, I'm still wondering which is the aim of this new function?

You're welcome. It is nice to be able to tap someone else's fish to see what they have. Also, you might can sometimes find some decoration or fish from an event or gift that you can't directly buy from the store.
I recently tried to visit another users tank but this ended up taking about 16mb of my phone memory even though I have game on SD card and I'm getting a low disk storage on my HTC desire, I've tried a restore in the game but hasn't resolved the issue, please help to get this back if possible.
I believe you have to uninstall then reinstall and restore the game in order to reduce storage size. Just restoring it doesn't do anything except restore your last saved game.

Okay, first of all, this thread has completely revived my interest in this game. Thank you everyone for your tips and suggestions. My android tapfish name is aicirt17, by the way, so feel free to visit my tanks.
My question: is there ANY way you can use a custom background? I don't like most of the ones offered for free OR fishbucks. I REALLY like the background that Tapfish uses as an icon for "Backgrounds" in the "Store", but it's not available . And, how did that guy get the floating people in his tank?? It's so cool!

I'm not sure it's this guy case but some go into the tapfish files and change the code...some give themselves an incredible number of fish buck without buying any, some personalize the background and so on...
It's not so difficult to do as I read on the forums around the web

hello, I'm new to tapfish (well a couple of weeks now) and also new to this "forum" stuff so I have no idea what I'm doing so please advise if I'm doing something wrong on this "forum". I do have a question. I tried to add Akwatic and a couple others I see here in my tapfish neighbors but I get an error message that says "Akwatic not valid" or "Akwatic does not exsist" what am I doing wrong?
Obee, I know how to change the name of the tanks if that's what you're asking. You simply go to that tank and tap on the tank name at the top, for example where it ways "tank 1" just tap on it, then tap on it again in the window that opens up and it will let you change the name. It will also let you lock the tank in the same window so you don't accidently sell a fish that's in the tank.

TapRos is another good one to visit, but be prepared to wait for that one to load - there's a lot of great stuff there. Mine is aicirt17 if you wanna see mine.

@ Akwatic, I've seen you recently revived my fish, and I suddenly got confused on which one(s) died? Np though if you dont remember.
As far as for the general board/TF user, I've just now joined this site, but have been playing TF for a little while. Nice to join the community that has given me some good advice over time!

Correct, TreeTank is my TapFish name, but its on my phone and most of my fish are dead. I need to go in sometime, revive all the fish and buy food bricks for each tank.

I posted last week how I bought fish bucks and the next day they were partially gone. Well, I did contact them through my phone (thanks for tip) and they were replaced within a few days!

Glad you got them back. I think you might have gotten lost though....you posted your original message in the Tapfishers forum, not here.
Has anybody heard of people that will load your account with fish bucks for HALF the price, or less than half, the price it costs to buy from in app purchases?????

I never saw any dead fish in anyone's tanks. So, I'm not sure about how to revive in a neighbors tank.
If you go to "social" your name will be on top. It will be a long number/letter combo. I'd advise to change it or write it down. My phone needed to be replaced and I had to start the game over when I downloaded it on my new phone. Feel free to add me (gispina).
I'm looking forward to what Red and White masterpiece I yield from breeding the Sammie and the Koi!
Also, in case it didn't click with you over the last 10-15 posts, it doesn't matter if your game or game data is stored on the phone or the SD card as far as preserving tanks, fish, etc. Its all stored on the TapFish servers, so even if you get a new phone and don't have a Titanium Backup or other means to restore your apps, data, etc, you can still get your TapFish data from their servers.

If this is the same device as your original game, uninstall Tapfish, reinstall, then do a Restore (Menu > About Tap Fish > Restore Game).
If this doesn't work, as long as Tapfish is installed, you can email Gameview directly from the game (Menu > About Tap Fish > Feedback). They will respond immediately with a message that they will respond within 5 days -- and they usually do. If you write from the game, your device information is attached to the email.
