So funny, for some reason I assumed most here are guys lol (i'm a girl btw)
I updated tapfish today and I have a Glow Longnose in my breeding tank thats ready to move to the tank (I can see the fish) but it wont let me move it! it just gives me the option to speed up or cancel I restarted my phone, cleared the cache and it still wont let me move it
I'm having the exact same issue with two breeding tanks since updating!
I am a girl. And getting seriously youth-challenged =)
I moved the whole game onto the phone, then moved it to the sd card again, and more of it is off the phone, but still over 7 mg is still there. Grrrr! I wonder if some of that is something cached? I clear the cache regularly, though. Might have to bite the bullet and root just to use the sd card for more.
Updating now. I'll see if I get the auto scroll or not. Sounds nice!
I also do not have the free scribbled angel...but I have an extra (fat-fingered purchase) that I wish I could give to one of y'all.
I had some of my breeding tanks finish this afternoon and all of them showed a fully bred fish but I also only had the option to Speed Up.
However when I tapped Speed Up it moved the fish to my tank. So I think its just an issue of the wrong button graphic. Looks like they sharpened the font on the main menu too so I'd imagine at some point during the update they messed up the Move to Tank button and swapped out another graphic.
Awww crap I got fed up and just clicked cancel, I got the trophy for it but not the fish oh well... good to know i'm not the only one though, I also dont have the scrolling...
Awww too bad we can't trade raynoldsk, I've got tanks of angelfish now lol, I'd give you several for sure. its back to normal now though
Creep me out! The Tapfish fish on the start-up screen now looks like someone I know. :/
I do have the scroll thing, but only if I start in the first tank. It seems to go to the last tank I visited. If I scroll up to the first tank, it follows me. Cool!
I also had much less trouble selling off the tanks of filler fish individually. If they did something to fix that, I thank them. It may just be that my hands are finally warm, though.
Can anybody tell me how to go to the Facebook Tap Fish Android page using the phone app? I cannot get there using the app. I have to use the web browser on my PC.

The Facebook app pretty much sucks. I haven't messed with it since I got my Thunderbolt, but on my Droid it gave me a "Go to full page" (or something similar) option that would bring the page up in my browser. It was toward the bottom of the page.
Have you tried using a direct link instead of searching for it in the app? That might work. TapFish on Android | Facebook
Here's a list of all the fish by profit. Since there is no real good way to equate fish bucks to coins, I've left off all fish buck fish. The numbers are buy for, sell for, sell for with happiness bonus (90% or higher), profit with happiness bonus, time to grow, and profit per day. It's a bit jumbled because I copied it from a spread sheet, but it should still be useable.

Thanks, that works. I still haven't figured out the app yet. Mind you, haven't really figured out Facebook on the computer yet.
This is probably a dumb question, but I don't suppose there are any shortcuts to puchasing multiple decorations, are there? I see some people have highly decorated tanks. I tend to keep mine to a minimum (91 - 93% for selling tanks and far less for non-seling) because it's such a pain to buy stuff. To purchase and place one simple clam, for example, you have to tap:
Menu - Store - decorations - tank basics - scroll to clam and tap buy - tap and drag to move, etc.
That's a minimum of 6 taps for each clam. If you don't know what you want, it takes a lot more tapping and scrolling to shop around.

Okay, I just now got fish bred since the update and I didn't get the move to tank option, either.
Just click speed up--it moves to the tank, hungry and swimming, and it doesn't take away fish bucks.
(Experimented after I emailed Gameview and asked about it...)
Droidros, I don't know of any way to do that, but it would be nice!
I have to move all the fish to inventory if I but a decoration, otherwise I end up using Saxon words trying to put the decoration where I want it. So my tanks are not highly decorated....
And to add another car to my freight-train of posts:
I just want to say that I am enjoying the game a lot more on my phone than I did on the iPad, even though the iPad game had nice big tanks that I would see better. And it is because of this thread =). It does make it more fun to have friends to play with!
I am currently playing as well, only lvl 12 so far but its been only a few days. Added a few of you as friends. The different breeds are really neat to see.
So far I have 10 tanks. 6 for coin, 2 for XP. Bought two of the memorial day fish and sold for a quick coin start. As far as I can see butterfly till 12, chromis till 16, then dwarf is the money order. Anything else I need to know?

That sounds about right. Pretty decent coin tank/XP tank ratio as well. You'll want to make sure you can afford the better fish when you get to them. Good job. Add me (codyvander82) if you want a friend.

I just decorate all my tanks. I use the tiered elestos for 11% (you can only get 11% happiness from plants and 11% from non-plants) since they are easier to get at than the cheap decorations and then thrown in one starfish. It only takes 765 coins to get to 88% happiness and the Love bonus will make you hit 90%. It's a lot easier than moving decorations or fish to get the bonus, and you can make it back in a hurry. You can sell a tank of Banded Butterflies for 9,500 but if you spend the 765 for decorations, you will make 11,400. That offsets the cost of decorations on your first time through. It's well worth the coins to save the time it takes to move stuff around.
Yeah, I figured out the decoration thing. 11 starfish and 3 off each beginning plant put me at 99% on all tanks. I just love then sell. And ill be sure to add you.
Excuse me sir, there is a law preventing you from taking all the known swordfish in the world and dropping them in fish tanks..... that or you fed them viagra.... sheesh

Haha! I do have quite a few. It's for my "get a ton of coins before eels at level 65" strategy. I'm focusing on money over XP for a while, so I'm dumping SF into the tanks until I have 37 to sell (it takes 37 sold SF to buy 25 Kribs), then doing Kribs until I have 34 to sell (34 sold Kribs=25 Scott Fairy Fish). Then I'll stick with SFF for a while. I figure I'll start buying XP tanks after I fill all the ones I have with SFF.
Im noticing the money climb a little more myself. When i lvled to 12 i was almost short in filling my tanks with chromis. So i added 3 more coin tanks. Its alot of cleaning though. Evil.

Hey, Corky - looks like the Fish Patrol are onto you!!

I didn't know about the 11% limit until now! How did you find that out? I guess that's why I couldn't get past 89% and then 91% on a couple of my tanks - I thought that it was the 5-point castle I had placed that was causing a weird glitch. I guess I had reached the 11% limit on non-plant decorations and was continuing to try to add more.
Right now I can well afford the decorations (the ones I can buy with coins, that is) - it's just that I'd like some of my tanks to be more decorated but it's such a pain to buy each one one at a time. I am fascinated by the tanks that have zillions of decorations all arranged in various patterns - that takes a lot of time and patience!
Some of the tanks I use for keepers I don't bother to decorate at all since I don't need the happiness points.
If you have plenty of coins or fishbucks and want to level up faster, you might consider buying a food brick for your xp tank of green snappers (or whichever fish you use). When you buy your fish, each purchase is 1 xp, plus another xp if you feed it individually. If you are buying in bulk, it's too difficult to feed each one. But with a food brick, you can more easily feed them one at a time. Before you start buying, move your brick to where it's accessible to your left index finger. Select your fish and tap "Buy". Tap near the brick with your left finger - the fish will appear and move quickly to eat from the brick. When the fish is full message comes up, tap okay with your right finger and immediately buy the next fish with your left. This way, each purchase is worth 2xp instead of 1.
It's still slow, but a lot faster than trying to feed each fish without a brick. Unfortunately, the bricks cost a lot of coins or bucks and they're ugly. You can't hide the brick or move it between tanks, either.
Thanks Droid, I never thought about the food brick idea that way. I might do that later on and try it. What's your name on the game? Mine is the one I use here. I get the max bonus but I sell in bulk also so I get 765 for greens and 9600 or so for butters. Just to impatient to sell one at a time. Hehe
Witches, I'm TapRos and you are already on my friends list.
I sell the cheap fish in bulk but not the high priced ones because you lose too many coins in commission. For example, a tank full of tie fish sells for 46500 coins if my math is correct. 15% commission would be 6975!

Do tell about the decorated tanks. I love decorating my tanks and look for ideas!
I'm a female BTW.

Is there a level requirement for the Royal Gramma? If not, that's the new best profit fish without a level requirement. 8666 per day! I'm glad I have a ton of fish to sell!
I just stocked up on memorial. Gramma just look sweet so I bought one. Also, I'm only level 10 ten tanks all with butters (best profit at 100% per day). But my question is, I have a showy tank and I started getting an error message about minimum 25 kinds of fish...in a tank with 27 different fish...
There are a ton of errors since patch so take precautions. Report them as you find them also, helps others. I know there are more problems with iPhone than Droid ATM....not surprised. Added you ad well. Got abut half the Mario tank done. Still experimenting, but there are a very limited amount of decorations. Hopefully they will add more soon.
I tried to resist....but the Mario swimming just kept going through my head....it may take awhile to make but I will have my Mario bros tanks. Lol
Love your MarioBros tank. You really have a lot of patience placing all those decorations. I bought a couple of pipes once and spent ages trying to line them up! -TapRos
I am farming the dwarfs ATM. Anyone have any advice on what fish is next?
Enough dwarfs! It's time to start putting some decent looking fish in your Mario tank. Chromis, clowns, yellow tang.. Even a bunniefishie...pity you didn't get any tie fish.
I wasn't aware that you could have only 25 different kinds of fish per tank :/
Now I have ro root--I don't think I have enough space for another tank.
(The entire program will not go to sd, only a large part of it. Not sure how much remains on the phone, but it is definitely the game eating space, since that is the only app that has had anything changed in it for a week.)
Ill use the lower tanks that are decorated as show tanks when I break a million in profits. I want to be prepared for lvl 30 when I get there. I promise ill will have it all fixed shortly after that. And I enjoy the Rare smooth fish over the funny ones. Really want that new frog the buck shortage is driving me nuts and I refuse to spend real cash on a app.

You can hit your menu button, go to Settings and go to Applications and scroll down to Tapfish to see how much space is used. Mine is about 45 megabytes, including the program and the data. Thats bigger than some other apps, but its not absurdly big. My phone memory is 8 gigabytes, which is about 175x the space of my Tapfish program+data. And my SD card is another 8 gigabytes.
Things like videos you take with your camera are going to be a lot more "space hoggers" than Tapfish data. And I have 26 tanks to your 5 so I'd imagine your app is more like 15-20 megabytes.
I have a 16g sd card, but the phone memory is absurdly low--especially when so much of apps will not move from internal storage--what are they thinking.
Rooted now. Just waiting for the computer to copy the files back onto the sd card...which, for some odd reason is taking forever.
Hi all, just started playing Tapfish a couple of days ago, and this has been such a useful thread, now busy raising green snappers for XP. I'm a bit confused about the length of time the fish take to grow - it says 4 hours for green snappers, but I set a bunch of them going at 3pm yesterday and at 10pm they still had an hour to go. I checked on them a couple of times before then, assuming they'd be finished after 4 hours. Is the time thing hit and miss or am I missing some step?
I don't track the time really closely but I haven't noticed any discrepancies. Did you buy the whole tank at the same time? (could it be that you added some fish later than you thought?)- TapRos
