I'm a little confused. My droid x2 came pre-loaded with a demo of Let's Golf 2. I deleted it as soon as I got the phone. I've heard good things about the game and would love to download the full version now. However, I can't find the game on the AM and when I select my phone on the gameloft site, it says it's not compatible.
Will the droid x2 run just about any of the gameloft games if I select a different phone to download?
Look for it on the market or gameloft.com, if it shows up then yes, if it doesn't then no.

Maybe, but no guarantee. Best chance is to try the Motorola Atrix version as it has the same screen resolution and processor.
i actually don't get the fuzza bout gameloft.
i mean, they are all hightech and super duper and stuff,
but nearly everything lacks personality or good gameplay.
i find asphalt actually okay for a racing game on a phone - but when i want to race i'm going to my ps3 and have some fun with wipeout, or forza on my xbox 360.
but for example the highly aclaimed nova, i don't get that. its really crap, it plays like with stretched arms holding a bucket full of shit in as far away from your body as possible. *blerch*

Linking to pirated/illegal software: It's a shame I actually have to touch on this. Don't do it. It will be removed and repeat offenses will result in a ban.
Gameloft isn't very informative and to no surprise they gave no reason. I'm guessing they're having trouble migrating to the new developer tools that go along with using the Unreal Engine.
I have a heap of gameloft games and not one of them is particularly enjoyable, the best title they have is golf, all the ones that try to have a story are lame and the voice acting is crap. Can not recommend anything from them... Gamevil is a much better publisher, com2us is also another one to keep an eye out for.

Can i ask... why is emulation allowed here then? That too is considered illegal as it circumvents the consoles security.
Im not a condoner of pirating so don't get me wrong but its a bit of hypocrisy to allow emulation and not pirating.

I believe the fact that there are actually legal ways to use emulation is the reason it is allowed. App piracy is just straight theft. To be honest though, you'd have to take that up with other mods or Admin as I'm not much of a gamer and don't know much on the subject.
This is craziness -- my Droid Bionic came with Let's Golf 2 demo pre-installed, it was working fine and there was an in-game option to purchase a full version. Unfortunately, I uninstalled it. Wanted to buy it eventually, went to gameloft web-site, which told me this game is not compatible with Bionic... so I e-mailed their support asking about it, got a reply that it's correct -- the game not compatible with Bionic. Except for *ALL* Bionics have that demo pre-installed and it's working greatm if you purchase a full version.
I guess it's a perfect example how the developer can't sell their product.
I wish Gameloft would update their titles in the Android Market to support the EVO 3D...
Here are some of the titles in the Market that cannot be played on the EVO 3D:
BackStab
GT Racing: Motor Academy
Block Breaker 3
NOVA 2
Let's Golf 3
TinTin
NOVA 2 and GT Racing are both available for the EVO 3D through Gameloft too...
Does Gameloft ever update compatibility for their games on their site, for newer phones? I have a Galaxy Nexus, but only a handful of their games show as "compatible", via their site. I'd kinda like to get Eternal Legacy, Sacred Odyssey, and Dungeon Hunter 2, but it doesn't look like any work on my phone...

They do, but it's slow. Try emailing their customer support to see if / when more titles will be out for your device.

We're not against circumventing security (we root our phones to enable to us to use programs such as Titanium Backup), we're just against piracy.
It's the difference between ripping a CD you bought to MP3 (circumventing security) vs downloading the MP3s (piracy). In the former, you're supporting the creator with your purchase, and in the later, you're not.
Emulators merely let us play games we own from consoles we own on a different device for which those games are not available.
It's very simple - if you like games, then buy games to support developers so they can make more games.
Could anyone help me please? Since the last update Dungeon Hunter 3 seems not to be compatible with my Galaxy S3 any more, and when I tried installing an older version it just downloaded more content and I got the latest version. When I try to start it, there's just this loading circle taking turns with the small Gameloft logo at the bottom, and it won't stop until I quit the game. I couldn't find something on the Gameloft forums, and people with the same or similar problems didn't get answers from the support.

Another thing is that pirated apps is a huge source of malware and we don't want to see that on Android.
Gameloft is a giant in the industry of mobile games development.
The dark knight rises is one of the best mission game I have ever played over my mobile device.

Well, some of us have been gaming for over 3 decades. I have had Atari 2600, ColecoVision, Commodore 64, NES, SNES, N64, PS1, PSP, PS2, PS3, XBox, XBox 360, Wii, and a ton of pc games that I bought over the years. I have probably owned between 5000 and 10000 games on those various platforms, and I still have functioning Commodore 64, SNES and PS1 and 2's with games. How do you suppose I take a cartridge or 5.25 floppy disk and get those games onto my S3 or Nex7? Do you think I should find someone online and pay for my games again? Just curious.
