What are situation puzzles?

Situation puzzles are often referred to as lateral thinking puzzles or “yes/no” puzzles.
Situation puzzles are usually played in a group, with one person hosting the puzzle and the others asking questions which can only be answered with a “yes” or “no” answer. Depending upon the settings and level of difficulty, other answers, hints or simple explanations of why the answer is yes or no, may be considered acceptable. The puzzle is solved when one of the players is able to recite the narrative the host had in mind, in particular explaining whatever aspect of the initial scenario was puzzling.

These puzzles are inexact and many puzzle statements have more than one possible fitting answer.

The main idea behind this game is to find out what others think. A person has a situation in mind. Others ask him questions about that situation.
He can answer only with YES, NO, IRRELEVANT. After some questions the asking persons found the solution. During the solving process a hint may be also provided, but it will costs more points than a ususal question.

What do the icons mean? How do I answer a question / make a guess / learn the answer? It's almost like it's purposely confusing. Why does it keep prompting me to install some third-party app? That is a big reg flag and doesn't seem right at all. I uninstalled it.

Hello mister Rich. I saw your post and i want to respond to all your questions.

1. What do the icons mean? When i make this app i thought that the icons will be intuitive. So now i will explain them

The key represent the login button.

The first icon into the left of the screen represent All situations screen.Select a situation. See it’s details and start asking questions. In this menu when you click on a situation to receive more clues you have to ask question.

To ask a question you have to click on the first icon from left(the hand whit a pencil)

To receive a hint you will click on the middle icon (the wand)

To rate the situation you will click on the balance

The second icon from the right from the main menu represent My Situations screen. Push the Create situation button, add details to the situations and publish it.Every field is mandatory and has a maximum characters length.Tips: Use a clear, short name that a person can have a clue about the situation.

The graphic icon represent the high score screen.
The SOS icon represent the help button

2. How do I answer a question / make a guess / learn the answer?

The main idea behind this game is to find out what others think. A person has a situation in mind. Others ask him questions about that situation.
He can answer only with YES, NO, IRRELEVANT. After some questions the asking persons found the solution. During the solving process a hint may be also provided, but it will costs more points than a usual question.
If you want to solve a situation navigate to All situations screen. Select a situation. See it’s details and start asking questions.You can select from your old questions or create a new one.You can ask how many question do you want, but you will receive the answer when the situation creator respond.
Keep in mind that on the other end is also a person not a computer so give him time to answer your questions.
When do you think you know the solution put your description as a question, and if you are right the creator may mark your question as a solution and you will be rewarded with 100 points.
If you want to make a new situation situations Navigate to My Situations screen. Push the Create situation button, add details to the situations and publish it.Every field is mandatory and has a maximum characters length.Tips: Use a clear, short name that a person can have a clue about the situation.
Try to create a description with as many details as the persons need but do not be too obvious.
Think of a hint that will help the persons understand better the situation.
When write the hint have in mind that it costs as 10 questions, so you must give a little help but not too much.
When answer to questions have in mind the solution you enter and keep a straight line.
When somebody ask a question that is the solution of your situations mark it as solution and do not answer with YES.
Only when you as a creator mark a question as solution the other person receive its points

3. Why does it keep prompting me to install some third-party app?

Yes, regard that fact right now a lot of games integrated the application Heyzap. This app is like facebook, i would say, you may see what other friends play and stuff like that. If you want check it out, you will find it on the market, is promoted by google. When you start a game that use this app, you will receive a notification, but you don’t have to install it if you don’t want.
