Hi everybody,

I want to share this information with all the Android community.

A new MMORGP is developing by French studios for Android devices. The game is called Rūnes MMORPG and now the second phase beta version is available.

The aim of the game : you incarnate a wizard and have to fight with anothers to improve your character's skills.

I just checked out the website, and I must say the level of polish is quite astounding on both the website and more importantly, the game. From what I saw in the video it is looking to be the best game on the android platform, I and will definitely be looking forward to this game's release.

I know that the studio is searching a maximum of beta testers who are not French. The game is in English too.

visually looks great, but doesnt peak my personal interest.... great looking game though, wish we had more innovation that headed in this direction

Now the game looks great and It is expected that the animations and graphics are improved for the official launch.
And Bramsy if the fact the beta is just a PvP version, doesn't peak your personal interest, you could be surprised for the future ^^

To install this brand new release :
If you already have the Rūnes MMORPG .APK
Launch Rūnes MMORPG and accept to download and update the old .APK.
If you are a newcommer :
Just click on the banner, and follow the indications.

This version will be an opportunity to correct many bugs.

One of the main developments of this update will be the apparition of the new 3D engine with the appearance of skeletal animations and new 3D characters!
Spells, will be fully vetted and will be much more powerful, making duels more intense and strategic.
About the battle system, the level of artificial intelligence will also completely changed, so you will have new challenges to overcome, alone or in teams ...

Dungeons! Key point of this update, and preparation steps for quests, the dungeons will allow you to illustrate in instance that will challenge your mastery of the Rūnes!

I've been playing this for a couple of weeks now and it's very entertaining. I can't wait for the Dungeons and, eventually, the quests.

Right now, there are few people playing so it's difficult to find live people to challenge in battles. Hopefully that will change soon

Not only do they ask you for all your personal information which isn't needed at all, but they give you the form over HTTP rather than HTTPS.
I hope they change that.

I just signed up for beta testing, and so far, this game is pretty good. I realize they ask a lot of personal information, but the game is well made, and these guys seem legit. Wanted to bump this , as they obviously still have beta spots open...

Hey!

I've signed up for beta, downloaded and installed the client & got my username & password. However, whenever I try to run the game it doesn't accept my credentials and sends me back to change my password which even when I do it doesn't work anyway and does the same thing all over again.

I'm on HTC Hero, Android 1.5. Anyone knows how to deal with that?

i cant get the web site to come up so i guess i cannot try it out...lol

i played it a few hours ago on my mytouch. it loads pretty fast, but it makes to force quit when there is a hiccup in your internet connection

Website works fine for me. It looks nice, but could we perhaps have a few screenshots? Watched the gameplay vid for a bit, but it's rather blurry.

Good Idea but I don't know, how does one post screenshots from your phone? my phone is my only camera at the moment

If you're rooted, you can use ShootMe. If not, you can download the Android SDK. Involves a lot of hoop-jumping, but the instructions are here.

wow thanks! I'm not gonna do it right this second, but I'll get around to posting screenshots then in the next few days with the SDK method. Maybe someone is less lazy then me and will post them before

with firefox i click the link from the original post and its says loading for about 30 secs then "problem loading page"

fb page works but not the other link.

ill try with chrome...

edit: with google chrome it says link is broken. will try it with ie now.

2nd edit: IE will not open it either.

ive also tried it on other computers with different browsers and nothing will open the page.


OP: can you post a download link to the game hosted on another site perhaps?

Tried this and it looks cool, still in beta though. The one thing I hate is when you draw a rune and accidently press another "dot" :P

Sweet. Now we just need more people! Im sick of fighting clones with the quick fight option, i need money for equipment, and that means arena battles. I'm starting to get into this game now that i have a decent number of spells

*** White Screen on X10i ***

I registered, downloaded, installed, sined in and... white screen!! i can only see the 2D pictures like maps and on screen keys. All 3D shapes and textures are invisible!!! I uninstalled, deleted the folder from my sdcard and tryed again but nothng changed. I think I'm going to love this game and I really want to try it.

has anyone have any ideas?

ps: for some reason i can't log in to the game forum either so you are my last hope.
