Hello fellow Droid users.Simple question yet so complicated. How do you put a playstation Emulator and a Nintendo 64 emulator on the droid? Obviously you cannot download it from the app's so we will have to find another way.Theres no doubt in my mind this can be done but I have no idea how to do it...Please help me! thanks!
IDK how efficient that would be, regarding the fact that is would be running on Java AND a mobile device, but it can be done. Some one has to port Project 64 which has the source for free. but keep in mind, it will take a LONG time to perfect, The PSP had trouble emulating the N64
Device(s): Motorola Droid,
Motorola Droid 2,
Motorola Droid X

I expect yongzh will be the one who figures this out. I asked him in an email and he said he is trying, but not making any promises. Keep ur fingers crossed.

How can I get in contact with this "Yongzh" Fellow? i've successfully installed a PS1, Sega Saturn and N64 (N64 emulator setup is easy ) on my PC...but droid seems like there is something blocked. The Droid will be able to hold any n64 game with ease im sure just the problem with memory and saved games.
I dont think you understand this correctly, its not holding the games thats the problem, its the memory and processing power usage. Yea it run perfectly fine on a PC (even the PC has some gfx problems in emulating the N64) but think of an android device which is a fraction of a PC. For project 64 to run (not run smoothly, just barely run) needs 128 mb of ram and a 600 mhz processor. and extra 16 mb of video memory, I doubt an android device will run a N64 emulator over 20 FPS...
Now is it really worth someone's time and effort to port an emulator that will only get partial emulation?

i dont mean to be a ball buster, but the HTC HD2 which has i would imagine similar specs to the Droid (im not sure though), can run a playstation emulator with ease. Some games run at 50-70 fps. And this is playstation! Quite amazing!
keep in mind that this is on the winmob 6.5 (memory hog). Im sure in the future n64 and ps1 emulation will come to android, just give it time because the platform is still new to many

The HD2 is running on a Snapdragon processor, clocked at 1 gigahertz. The Droid's processor, in contrast, is clocked at just over 550 megahertz. So we're talking about an almost double CPU speed advantage for the HD2. On top of that, on Windows Mobile the emulator is running in native code, whereas on Android I believe the emulator would be running through the Java VM, further slowing things down.
Not trying to rain on anyone's parade but it's not likely we'll see an Android N64 emulator that performs smoothly on a Droid running at the stock clock speed. Now maybe if the Droid's processor was overclocked to near one gigahertz, then it could be possible, though to be honest I can't see it being particularly enjoyable to play N64 games on the Droid's keypad...many SNES games are difficult enough to control as it is.
I would expect Xbox would be the easiest to emulate since the architecture is almost identical to the PC and the operating system is a modified windows... but yet its the lest emulated...
PSX emulator already released and is available on market.
PSX emulator already released and is available on market under the name psx4droid. My first test with it; my eboot image for PSP-PSX and it worked flawlessly for Final Fantasy VIII. Blazing speed.. no chops at all on my Droid X (which is not even rooted yet and overclocked.)
