NES Emulator
If a Sidekick can do it... I mean it isn't cutting edge or anything but everyone loves old school NES games, right?
How long before we get one of these bad boys onto Android. Piece of cake?

My friend missed the bus yesterday and we played a PINBALL machine for 1 hour waiting for the next one. I've never had so much fun playing pinball.
There IS such a thing as OVERdoing it. While I love the complexities of the newer systems including the amazing graphics, there is something to be said for the head to head combat and button mashing intensity that the original consoles provide.
BTW, Tecmo Bowl rocks... so did Tecmo Baseball

vNES looks like the best candidate for porting to Android but it has heavy use of libraries that are not available on Android. Expect a bit of a wait before anybody ports one over.

SNES Emulator will be nifty but weird on a small platform on the G1. It might take up too much space.

Did you try any of the ROMS, they seem awfully slow. Agonizing...I think it might be unplayable. What do you think?

Agreed. The GameBoy emulator needs some work, it'd be amazing if it didn't lag so much. I love my old Nintendo games

The only emulator I crave is a zx spectrum one. The original machine was only 8 bit, 1mhz clock speed and 16/48k RAM. Pale in comparison to the G1 specification, yet the only spectrum emulators available are severely slow. If only we had low level driver access then our dreams will blend in with reality, either that or someone will find a way of using Java VM over davlik

Anyone who has used a sidekick will tell you that picture is photoshopped. Notice the black border on the right side of the game and no on the left. The white border on the sub menu. No score in the top of the game? So fake

Google it. Not trying to be a dick, don't know the forum rules here, but most forums don't like it if you advertise or tell people where to find torrets/roms/whathaveyou, since you could be getting them illegally. But seriously, just google it, the answers are right there.
Oh and I paid for the SNESoid app, works great so far. Zero complaints.

Troubles...
So I downloaded Nesoid and am having trouble getting any rom on there. I have tried downloading straight to the phone, but keep getting the message that my phone doesn't support that type of file, then tried downloading to my comp, unzipping and sticking it on the SD card, everytime I try to load the .nes file, it says "Load rom failed. Please try another rom." I don't know what else to do, really don't want to uninstall this program. Does anyone have any ideas, am I missing a step or something? Have tried a number of roms, all with the same result...

Ok so I got the emulator figured out a while back now and I didn't see you mention the download crutch. So if u don't have that download it. Then try thr roms again. The crutch allows ur phone to download any type of files.
