What's the best game/graphics demo to show off Android graphics engine?
I want to show off how good opengl es can display on my G1.
Does anyone know a game with good 3D graphics that I should install for this?

While it isn't a game, search for Neocore in the market and you will find the best demo that shows off the current capabilities of the openGL implementation on the G1. It's so awesome, it should be turned into a game.

Mystique, it's a great puzzle game with great graphics and will get you thinking. Don't play it in the dark though....

Baseball Superstars is a great graphics app.
I also like Moxier World for non game apps.

Neocore is good for testing the device but I wish there were some more 3D games on Android.

I'll admit that I don't have loads of experience gaming on the phone. (Its new, and Zenonia has been sapping all my free time
)
But I have to say that Raging Thunder 2 impressed me when I first played it. Definitely see the potential this device has as a gaming platform.

N.O.V.A. or Modern Combat from Gameloft both look great.
Dungeon hunter looks great too, but it isn't first-person.

I find it hard to believe that neocore is the best example of graphics, my old n95 did prettier looking stuff than that! Neocore looks awful!

Need for Speed Shift FTW!
Edit-I just re-read and saw it was a G1, might not play NFS

Maybe it was in April, 2009. Which is the date of the post you are responding to.

I think its impossible to go past Riptide's graphics, I've yet to see anything that matches them in Android (quite nice with 4XAA via CF4D too).
Most of the Tegra-zone games are pretty nice to look at, ditto for Gameloft's stuff.
Earth and Legend's graphics are quite nice too.
Its not a game but Skycastle 3D has nice graphics.
