Anyone else want a PS1 Emulator?
I started playing some older games with my computer emulator of the ps1 but I feel like having a portable one would be awesome, anyone else agree?

Though the question arises how the cd images (or roms, w/e you wanna call them) storage would work. The things aren't exactly what you would call small. Any ideas? I'd program an emulator myself if I knew how, but if anyone does decide to pick this up, or know of someone who is working on this, I'd be more than happy to beta test.

Yongzh is making one. I don't know when he will be releasing it though, I am sure there are many hurdles to overcome, but he will do it.

Is Android powerful enough to run a decent PS1 emulator? It's a struggle to get them to run on a full-blown PC.

I don't think the current phones are be able to run ps1 emulator. Even iphone can't do it.

What? <lol> I have been playing PSX Games on 450mhz Pentium II like 8 years ago.
The 1ghz Snapdragon CPU wouldn't have any problems running optimized PSX Emu, but older CPUs like Hero one will have some issues (so we would be able to play RPGs at most
)

iPhone 3GS can run PS1 games just fine. FF7 runs great. I'd love to see this for the Droid.

I have an N1... all the hardware is good enough to run PS1 games... I'm just wondering how long it will be til someone gets on making an emulator for it.
If you're reading this and know how to make one... I'll be your first customer
