Game compatability with similar hardware devices
So I have an HTC G2 and a Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0. They both appear to be similar devices hardware-wise. Both are single core devices, the G2 has 800 MHz and the Galaxy player has 1 ghz. Both have 512 MBs of ram. The only major difference appears to be the screen size. That being said, I'm wondering why some 3D games such as Dead Space, Frontline Commando, and Overkill (for instance) work flawlessly on the G2, but stutter, slow down, and in many cases freeze altogether on the Galaxy Player (requiring a hard reset within 5-10 minutes of gameplay) when the Galaxy Player has a slightly better processor? Like, what's the difference between these devices to where there's such a disparity in game performance when they are so close to each other anyway?
Nobody in the Galaxy Players forum knew the answer and I didn't know where else to ask this. It kinda is semi-game-related...
