I love android, and am not totally comfortable messing with it. Gamepad support sucks. I have an Acer Iconia A200, and a wired 360 controller with it. Less than 50 games are optimized for controller usage. We need custom controller mapping in GTA III! Black Ops Zombies! I am a gamer without a system, and I don't plan on buying on. We need to get awareness out for people like us so we too can be hardcore gamers. I, personally, would be more than willing to pay console price to play Black Ops 2 on my tablet. But the games must be fully featured, WITH GAMEPAD SUPPORT!!!!! Please help me trend this e next so we can push for the next era of gaming!
Yes, more gamepad support would be nice. In the meantime, those who are serious about Android gaming need to suck it up and root their devices. That opens up touch emulation in apps like USB/BT Joystick Center and Sixaxis Controller, not to mention the ability to backup your game data to share between devices or move to a new device.

This is what you do if you really want to game, although Madfinger games have done an awesome job giving native support to Dead Trigger and Shadowgun.
To the OP: Root and play COD Black Ops, Modern Combat 3, GTAIII, NOVA3, etc to your hearts content.
Yes, but rooting also voids warranty. I have three tablets, two of which are in warranty. My 3rd device is a eMatic EGLIDE tab from walley-world. I have another year or so to go before i will root my acer. Also, adding gamepad support would bring more android customers.
I'm not so sure rooting really voids your warranty, and even if it does it's easily reversible.
I got off the phone with my geek, and here's the deal. rooting is a violation of warrenty. and, altough it is reversible, what if it is rooted, and the hdd goes. or the screen. then, they won't service it, and im out $300.

Yep, you can come up with relatively unlikely "what if" scenarios to talk yourself out of just about anything.
I am new to the this forums so this one might solve this problem regarding games. I want to own this too I read the comments on youtube about the price point of this and it was ranging at $15~20 I am not sure.
I have a GameKlip and it's nice, but limited (they aren't universal--the one I have specifically fits my Galaxy Nexus and will be useless for my next phone). The complaint in this thread, however, is not about a lack of gamepads--it's about a lack of support for gamepads in Android games. Relatively few games natively support gamepads, a few more have keyboard controls that you can map to gamepad controls (easier said than done, as they usually leave you to guess/experiment to figure out which keys do what).
Most games can be played with a gamepad using touch emulation, but that requires rooting your device, which not everyone is comfortable doing.
