please help me make this fan made game a reality,
after its done it will be totally free and free of Ads.
if you can't back me at indiegogo just simply give it a Like and spread the word
The game begins just like in the gameboy color pokemon games, you pick one of bulbasaur, charmander, squirtle or pikachu then justo pass throught level wich are the main scenarios in the kanto region like viridian forest, caves, st anne.
You need to collect coins in order to improve and evolve your pokemon, so you can continue pass the next levels wich are obviouly more and more difficult.
Sounstracks are the originals from the gameboy versions, and art comes from free sources.
If you help me by backing the project at indiegogo.com you can get a special personalized edition of the game with the pokemon of your choice

I was thinking that as well.
I'm not sure what Nintendo's position is on fan created content. But better be careful. The art may come from "free sources" but it is Nintendo's copyrighted materials.

To OP, nice, and good luck with the whole copyrights thing...
If you played them on an emulator and not an actual GameBoy, then you are probably still a child. :P
I remember the days of connecting my 1g GameBoy with my friend's GameBoy Pocket and battling it out and trading up. Not to mention beating the Elite 4! XD

Not necessarily. No$Gameboy was able to faithfully emulate Red, Blue, and Yellow back when they were still current, even before Gold and Silver had been released. I know because my cousin hooked me up with it. Back then, I didn't even know what an emulator was, let alone that the thing could do more than just Pokemon. I didn't find out about emulators in general until middle school, a couple years later.

maybe if you release the game for free, they will only break your knee-caps but indeed, when you start asking money for a licensed game they will at least chop off some body parts in the nintendo basement.
furthermore, i have checked your youtube video, and it actually doesnt look bad at all, looks like you really have some game developing skills. Why not comming up with a concept of your own, using your own game characters? maybe you can find a designer somewhere which you can team-up with?
