Default Mechcommander on Android?

Hi

I am wondering if it is possible to port the PC game mechcommander with expansion and sequal to android so as to play them on tablet.

Has this been done, if not how would i go about doing it, are there any tutorials on how such a thing may be done?

thanks

PS: it would not be for distribution or for profit.

i dont think theres an easy solution to just "port" PC games to android. maybe it would if there would be some kind of windows emulator available for Android? i actually never checked if this exists. since mechcommander is a game of +10 years old i guess hardware specs won't be an issue

If it were a DOS based game, you could probably run it in one of the ports of DosBox (like DosBox Turbo), but since it's a Windows game, it's iffy. It's possible to get set up with Windows 95 or 98 running inside of Dosbox, but you're looking at emulating a much more powerful system to run a game like that inside of Windows than you would need to emulate, say, the Dos version of Mechwarrior 2, which means your device needs to be pretty powerful in its own right. It's also a complicated pain in the neck to set up. Look around for some tutorials on "Windows 95 on Android" if you want to try it anyway.
