Hi, I'm from Brasil, and I just got the new Donut update!

I'm having serious problems with my contacts... can anyone help me with this?

For example..
I used to store all my contacts like this:
02111-9999-5555
where:
021 - is my long distance operator
11 - is the local area code
9999-5555 - is the phone number

I used to have no problems with the Cupcake!

When someone call me, the G1 now shows only the number 9999-5555 not showing the contact name/photo!

The Android seems to be doing an exact search, is there a way to make a 'like' search?

This works on all phones.. do you have any help for me?

I made a test, changed 1 contact to the exact phone number, and worked, but I'm always traveling and I really need the Operator + Area code!

I am having the same issue after I upgraded to Donut and I live in the US. I imported my contacts from Gmail, and most of them were the format 999-9999.

Is there any way to fix this other than editing all of my contacts into the format: 1-111-999-9999? I don't see why this would occur now either. Very irritating.

Yep me too....quick fix is to edit all but pain to do so......don't really know who to report this to??
