I sent my girl friend a QR code. The code was sent using barcode generator to her Droid. It was sent as a pic. How can she view the QR code? Is there any programs that will decode the QR code on her droid?

had an extensive look through appbrain and then googled the internet in general and wasn't able to find a simple solution :s which is a bit of a shame since I wanted to know the answer also.

Maybe it's an app that has yet to be developed?

Anyway as a short term workaround, I would say either open the QR code on a computer/other mobile/other device, and have her scan it with her droid.

I sent an email to the good folks of xzing (barcode scanner app) as this is a feature I'd like to see also. I was kinda surprise to find out google goggles won't scan a saved photo, seeing as the app saved scanned photos from the camera.

I did send to facebook and she viewed on her desk top using her droid. Would be nice if you could open them up from an email attachment. Thanks guys

View the picture on the phone and face it towards a mirror. Then start the barcode reader and turn the phone around really fast so it can scan the reflection.

Seriously though, it would be nice to be able to read codes sent to the device itself. Seems to be a weird "pulling yourself up by your bootstraps" situation...
